The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit;
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried;
He descended into hell;
The third day he rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven
And sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit;
The holy catholic church; *
The communion of saints;
The forgiveness of sins;
The resurrection of the body;
And the life everlasting.

Amen.

* Note: "catholic church" here means the entire body of
believers in Christ, not just one particular church.

Featured Segment . . .
"Bedrock Scriptures: Build Your Faith On These!"

Biblical quotations are taken from the authoritative King James Version
(KJV) of the Bible.

Jesus Teaches Us Always To Seek The Truth

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall
make you free." ( John 8:32 KJV)

We may have strong feelings and beliefs about our religion, but some of
our feelings and beliefs might not be true. Jesus teaches us to seek the
truth, no matter where it leads.

Christians Search The Bible For Moral Truth And Guidance

The Bible is the inspired written Word of God, sufficient to guide all
human action, for all people, at all times. Although its Source is
infallible, the Bible itself is not perfectly infallible because fallible
humans have introduced human error into it. Also, the Bible cannot always
be understood literally, because it contains figures of speech which are
never intended to be taken literally. Nevertheless, the Bible is the
highest written authority in all matters which it discusses. And if it is
properly understood and properly applied, it is a sufficient moral guide
for all human action.

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and
is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,
for instruction in righteousness:

"That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished
unto all good works."
(2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV)

Nevertheless, some Scriptures in the Bible are more important to us than
others. Some Scriptures should be the bedrock foundation for us, and
others should be the ornaments on the roof.
These Scriptures below are my "Bedrock Scriptures," and I commend them now
to you . . .

Bedrock Scriptures
Build Your Faith On These
If you memorize these scriptures, and understand them, and make them a
constant part of your life, you will never go far wrong.
Each of these Scriptures leads to a clear conclusion, which is printed
immediately below the Scripture itself.

MP3 Audio File at http://www.loveallpeople.org/bedrockscriptures.mp3

Genesis 1:1
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
Therefore, everything belongs to God.

Colossians 1:16
"For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in
earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or
principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:"
Everything whatsoever that has ever existed, in any form,
material or non-material, was created by God.

Psalms 24:1
"The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they
that dwell therein."
Everything on or in the earth belongs to God.

Genesis 1:28
"And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply,
and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of
the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that
moveth upon the earth."
God placed mankind in charge of the earth, as His manager of it.
He wants us to fill it up with people and exercise control over it.

Revelation 4:11
"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou
hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."
The purpose of all things -- including every human life --
is to give pleasure to God.

Psalms 149:4
"For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek
with salvation."
God takes pleasure in His people, those who humbly love Him.

James 4:8a
"Draw nigh (near) to God, and he will draw nigh (near) to you."
God wants us to seek Him, and when we do, He responds by
moving closer to us.

Psalms 23:6
"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I
will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever."
We, who love Him, will live with Him forever.

1 Corinthians 13:12
"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know
in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known."
It is impossible for us to know certain things at this time.
But later, we will understand everything clearly.

Matthew 22:37-40
"Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great
commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour
as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
Love God and love your neighbor, which means everybody. This is the
essence of the way He wants us to live.

Galatians 5:14
"For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love
thy neighbour as thyself."
Love for others fulfills all of God's law.

1 Peter 4:8
"And above all things have fervent charity (love) among yourselves: for
charity (love) shall cover the multitude of sins."
Love for others covers all our sins.

Matthew 6:14-15
"For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also
forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your
Father forgive your trespasses."
If you will not forgive other people, God will not forgive you.

Romans 14:12
"So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God."
After we die, each of us will have to give an account of our life
to God, to be judged by Him . . .

Romans 2:6
"Who will render to every man according to his deeds:"
And God will reward each of us according to what we have done.

John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Everyone who relies completely on Jesus will not perish at death,
but will live forever.

Matthew 28:18-20
"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in
heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and,
lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen"
Jesus now has been given all power in heaven and in earth; and
He wants His followers to recruit more followers for Him.

John 8:32
"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
Therefore, we should always seek the truth, avoiding the bondage
of deception.

Matthew 5:44-45
"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good
to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and
persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in
heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and
sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust."
Love all people, even your enemies.

Matthew 7:7
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it
shall be opened unto you:"
Seek the Lord sincerely and diligently, and He will give you
everything you need.

Philippians 4:6
"Be careful (anxious) for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and
supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."
Be anxious for nothing; ask God prayerfully for whatever you desire.

John 10:10
"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am
come that they might have life, and that they might have it more
abundantly."
Jesus came to give us life, not to take it from us.

Matthew 7:12
"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye
even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets."
Treat others as you would like to be treated, for this is what God
wants us to do.

Galatians 6:7
"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that
shall he also reap."
What you do comes back to you.

Romans 8:28
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose."
Everything works together for our own good, if we love God.

John 14:16
"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that
he may abide with you for ever;"
The Holy Spirit comforts us, and He lives with us forever.

John 14:26
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in
my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your
remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
The Holy Spirit will teach us personally, and will also help
us to recall the teachings of Jesus we have previously learned.

John 10:27
"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:"
If we belong to Jesus, we can hear His voice and we can follow Him.

Romans 12:18
"If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men."
Try as much as possible to live at peace with all people.

Romans 13:7-8
"Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due;
custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. Owe no
man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath
fulfilled the law."
Give other people whatever they are justly entitled to receive from
you. If you love all other people, you have fulfilled God's law.

Philippians 4:8
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are
honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever
things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any
virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
Keep your mind on good things, not bad things.

Job 14:1
"Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.
We humans live a brief life on earth, filled with many troubles . . .

Revelation 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no
more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more
pain: for the former things are passed away.
But everything will work out well for us, in the end.

Prayer For You
For The Special Thing You Want
NOTE: When you read this prayer, try to imagine hearing my voice as I
speak
it to you. In this way, the prayer is reactivated, and it is the same
as if I were actually praying for you at that moment.
(Just like television prayers are reactivated when you watch
them, although the videotape may have been shot years before.)

Perhaps there is a special thing you want,
A something you have had to do without,
And you are waiting for it to arrive.

* * *

I pray you will receive what you desire;
I pray it comes to you this very day;
I pray that it brings happiness to you.
I pray you keep it long as you may like.
In Jesus' name I pray for you, Amen.

Benediction

I pray the Lord that He will lead your path
Away from the temptations all around.
I pray that when temptation lingers near,
The Lord will lead you not into its reach.
But if temptation grabs you as you pass,
I pray the Lord that you will struggle free.
In Jesus' holy name I pray, Amen.

Blessings to you in Jesus Christ our Lord.
